SUPPORT OF HEART AND STROKE FOUNDATION OF ONTARIO PRESENTED BY PLEASURE
AND PAIN INK AND LOSTINTHEWILLDERNESS

Pleasure and Pain Ink will be holding the 2nd Annual Ink for Heart on Saturday, July
23, in support of the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario (HSFO). Two thousand
people attended last year’s event and raised $13,000. This year, Pleasure and Pain
Ink hopes to raise over $18,000 help Canadians protect themselves from heart
disease and stroke, which causes 1 in 3 Canadian deaths.
  
Pleasure and Pain Ink is a high-end custom tattoo and piercing studio now open in
Liberty Village. P&P has tattooed Chris Bosh of the Miami Heat for the “First Ink”
documentary, recording artist Drake, two-time IBF World Lightweight Champion,
Steve Molitor, DJ Poet of the Black Eyed Peas, T-RexXx of 1LOVETO and Rapcity
and a whole roster of other celebrities in the sports, entertainment and artistic
communities.

Saturday July 23rd, 2011 from 10am -10pm. $60 tattoos and $30 piercings, 50/50
draws, T-shirt and bracelet sale proceeds will all be donated to the Heart and Stroke
Foundation of Ontario.

In 2008, Adam Johnson and his business partner Kelly Pain decided to break away
from the outdated shops and employers they worked for, to open a new shop that
would realize their visions of an evolved tattoo culture and lifestyle. They called it
Pleasure and Pain Ink. Sadly, two months before their grand opening Adam’s father
passed away from a heart attack. Since Adam’s father was unable to celebrate his
son’s new life, Adam decided to create an event that would celebrate his father’s.
Ink for Heart not only commemorates Adam’s relationship with his father, it also
provides support for research, prevention, and advocacy for heart disease and
stroke. The shop teamed up with The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario
and hosted an amazing event, offering tattoos and piercings with the net proceeds
donated to the HSFO. Ink for Heart was held on a blistering cold winter day in
November 2010 and 2000 people showed up to support the cause.
