It’s crazy how the entire music scene has changed in the past 5 years. House music is now commercialized in North America when it was dominated by Hip Hop for the last 2 decades. It went from underground clubs, to
raves to now in every club.
Look at Vegas, 5 years ago, Hip Hop DJ’s headlined every major club & today its all House DJ’s that have residencies at all the major clubs over there. This month at Ultra Music Festival, 200,000 tickets are already sold!
I grew up listening to Hip Hop, Old School, Reggae & now a lot of my big club sets is majority house music. You can see the transition happening with Akon, Usher, Rihanna, Chris Brown & more all making big tracks with house beats. And now, even FORBES had to take note.
